6-2-2017; Dear Church Family;

Hey everyone. Greeting in the name of the Lord. Linda and I had an excellent time last Sunday at Dominion Grace Church in Rotterdam. We want to think Pastor Joe and Elsa for the opportunity to minister. They were a blessing to us. We also want to think Brother Joe and Sheila for ministering at SVGC. They did a great job as always. We had a great time away as well, taking some time to rest and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Trust everyone had a great Memorial Day as we honored our military people. Look forward to seeing our Church family this Sunday. God Bless!

5-15-2017; Dear Church Family;

A wonderful service on Sunday as we celebrated Mother's Day. It was great to see all the Mom's out. My wife did an excellent job, sharing with the ladies, as well as praying for each one individually. The take away from the service from start to finish:

  1. Mom's are important to God.

  2. Prophetic word-Time and season to be separated from the world and separated to God.

  3. How God's love is very important in our lives.

  4. We need to seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness-His right way of doing things.

  5. Mothers aren't perfect and they don't have all the answers. God loves them not based on their performance but who they are in God's eyes.

  6. How we need to show God's love, especially in how we talk to one another.

  7. This is building our home with wisdom-especially in how we communicate.

  8. God is the lifter of our head. He doesn't want our heads hanging in shame, guilt, condemnation because of the past, because of sin, because of mistakes we made but to realize that we are forgiven, cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

  9. He sees us the righteousness of God in Christ. He sees us holy, accepted in His beloved son, created in true righteousness ans holiness. He dances over us with Joy. We are His delight! Zephaniah 3:17

We are picking up again at Wednesday Bible Study part two of Revelation.The messages of Jesus to the seven Churches. Don't miss this series. Plan on attending. We are doing this for seven weeks. Have a great week!

5-8-2017; Dear Church Family;

Is it Spring yet?Burrrrrrrrr. A great service on Sunday. We continued on with the background of 1 and 2 Thessalonians.

Things to take away from Sunday: God knows where we are. He knows what we need. The Gospel of Grace changes lives. We need the Holy Spirit to teach, guide, help and comfort our lives. To give us wisdom and direction. To empower us to live the Christian life. We need to learn who we are in Christ and tap into the spirit-filled life. We need to be in God's Word. For a successful Christian journey it must be first place in our lives. God has so much more for us. We need to be aggressive in receiving all the Christ has provided for us through the work of redemption.

Don't forget we start Wed. Night Bible Study this Wed. the 10th at 7pm. The book of Revelations-the first 4 chapters. What Christ has said to the seven Churches. It's a Heart to Heart talk to the local Churches of that day and it applies to us as well. it should be a great time in God's Word!

What's on my heart today: The faithfulness of God and His Word. God's Word works if we work it. What do I mean? Faith is a noun and believe is a verb-an action. How do we work God's Word? By knowing it, not just in our head but in our hearts. By confessing it with our mouths-(Philemon 1:6), By exalting God's Word above our feelings and circumstances. The Word of God will come through for you if you believe and act on His Word. This is a lifestyle -"the Just shall live by faith." (Rom 1:17) Not just when we are in a difficult situation. God is a rewarder to those who believe He is God and those who diligently seek Him-this is faith and this kind of faith, pleases Him. Stay with the Word of God! (Hebrews 11:6). We live by faith, we pray in faith,  we persevere by faith and we overcome by faith! Faith is God's information pertaining to your situation. It is what He and His Word says about who you are in Christ, your circumstances, your authority in Christ over the enemy and knowing that all His promises that are yes and amen-so be it.

"Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world. That cross and resurrection at the core of the Gospel is the only hope for humanity. Wherever you go, ask God for wisdom on how to get that Gospel in, even in the toughest situations of life." Ravi Zacharias

3-7-2017 Dear Church Family;

We had a great service this past Sunday. What a blessing. It was good to see every one out. Linda and I pray that you were blessed and encouraged. We ministered along the lines of how important God's Word is in our life. We looked at Proverbs 4:20-23 and 2 Peter 1:1-4. We also shared the importance of biblical discipleship and the great need to be together as a Church body for fellowship and spiritual growth. Here are some scripture to think about: Have a great week!

Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)
19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Luke 14:27 (NKJV)
27  And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

John 8:30-32 (NKJV)
30  As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. 31  Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

This Wednesday Night is our last Wednesday Night Bible Study. We will be taking a break and we will be starting back up on May 3rd 2017. Praying for God's direction.

"Church attendance is as vital to a disciple as a transfusion of rich, healthy blood to a sick man." - Dwight L. Moody

"It is impossible to live the life of a disciple without definite times of secret prayer. You will find that the place to enter in is in your business, as you walk along the streets, in the ordinary ways of life, when no one dreams you are praying, and the reward comes openly, a revival here, a blessing there." Oswald Chambers

"Christianity without discipleship is always Christianity without Christ."- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

3-1-2017 Dear Church Family;

Hey Church family-trusting everyone is doing good and having a great week. I want to thank Brother Joe and Sheila Stone for filling in for us this past Sunday while we attended service with our son in Schenectady. We heard the service went well. Praise God! We hope to see folks out Tonight for prayer and Bible Study as we continue on with our series,"The God you thought you knew." We are on our final chapter- "Myth #10 - Christianity isn’t real because a loving God wouldn’t send anyone to hell -Truth: God has made great efforts to make sure many will spend eternity with him." If you want to learn more about what the Bible says about the after life, especially the topic of "Hell", tonight would be a good night to attend.

We will have one more lesson in this series, next Wed. night and then we will be taking a break from Wed. Night Bible Study. I thank God for the few that faithfully come every Wed. Night but overall the attendance is not very good. Since taking over 8 years ago, Wed. Night has averaged conservatively about 5 people. Sometimes only three people attended. Sometimes we cancelled because no one showed up???

So I'm going to take some time to pray for God's direction. The greatest need I see for Christians today is discipleship. Getting people into the Word of God, to know the God of the Bible, to learn how to walk with Christ and learn to share their faith with friends and family. For me Wed. night is a time to learn these things. Whether it's a Wed. night service or a mid-week home group setting, the goal is the same. What greater way to show our love for Christ than to make a commitment to what will help us grow in our faith.

Yes we can study the Bible on our own and we should, but doing it together is a whole different dynamic and a Biblical exhortation to do so. Everything flows out of our relationship with Christ through His Word. Shouldn't we focus on the source of life who is Christ and our coming together for fellowship, to learn from Him through His word with the help of the Holy Spirit. Sunday morning for an hour and a half or so is not enough to be a strong and healthy Christian. Yes we are all busy and we are doing so much but have we asked God about our priorities in life, have we asked Him to speak to us about our schedules? Is God just another compartment in life and if I have time for Him and Christian discipleship,  I'll try to fit it in? What does that say about our priorities, our relationship with Him and what He desires for our life? My wife and I love you and so much want to see your life transformed by God's Word and power. Please don't take this as condemnation but as  a shepherd trying to encourage the flock of God! Here are a some scriptures to think about.

Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday-Praise God!

PS Check out Dr. Eddie Hyatt's new article on our home page.

Acts 2:42 (NKJV)
42  And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:46-47 (NKJV)
46  So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,47  praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Hebrews 10:23-25 (NKJV)
23  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.24  And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,25  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Matthew 6:31-33 (NKJV)
31  Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

2-14-2017 Dear Church Family;

We had a wonderful Saturday Night service with Brother Joe Funaro and his wife, Elsa. Joe brought a powerful message of God's grace and healing. The scriptures just flow out of Joe. They really have a passion and love for Jesus. We had to cancel Sunday morning and Sunday evening due to the winter storm we had.  We will reschedule them to come at a later date.

Wednesday night material in up on the Website-Chapter 8 questions and teaching under Ministry resources -"The God you thought you knew." This Wednesday night we will ministering on the importance of God's Word and how it can be trusted and relied upon. Hope you can make it out. Have a great week! God Bless!

2-6-2017 Dear Church Family;

Praise the Lord! Good to be with God 's people this past Sunday. It was a good service. Jesus is our glorious representative. He ever lives to make intercession for us. Thank God for the New Covenant  established on better promises. We can trust God to keep His promises. He will never fail us. He is always faithful. Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)-Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)- Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. God, because of Jesus has given us access, admission to come before Him. The price of admission has been paid with the blood of Jesus. We can come before God without reservation, without fear, without the feelings of unworthiness or condemnation because we are loved and accepted in Christ. We have admission into the grace life of favor and blessings. We reach out in faith and receive from or heavenly Father.

Don't forget the upcoming meetings with Pastor Joe Funaro this coming weekend. Please check our events calendar for time and dates. Brother Joe and His wife, Elsa are a great blessing. You will be greatly encouraged in your walk with God! Remember to invite someone out  for these important meetings. God Bless and have a great week.

1-30-2017 Dear Church Family;

Great service on Sunday as we continued talking about the blood covenant. I believe the Lord spoke to us by the Holy Spirit about making adjustments in our lives, making choices that will put us in a better position to receive God's wisdom, direction and the benefits that we have in the kingdom of God. God wants us to appreciate the covenant that He has made with us through Christ. That it cost Jesus His blood. What a great thing God has done for us! This great commitment that God has pledged to us should motivate us for greater and more impacting Christian lives.

Wednesday night material in up on the Website-Chapter 6 questions. Also don't forget our Annual Membership Meeting this Friday Night at 6:30 pm at Church. This is for Members and non-members. This is a time to come together to pray, seek the Lord, go over our budget, have fellowship and talk about this New Year 2017 and what we are believing God for! Please make every effort to come out and support the work of the Lord. It matters to Jesus!

1-24-2017 Dear Church Family;

Trusting your week is going well. Wed. Night Bible Study material is up on our website. This is lesson #5 with questions and teaching. We had a great service Sunday, and Brother Joe and Sheila Stone did a great job Saturday Night at our healing service. One of the things the Lord was getting across to us on Sunday through the Holy Spirit was our relationship with Him. We need to invest in our time with the Lord, through prayer, Bible Study, worship and fellowship. This is what will make us stronger as Christians, more God conscience-meaning that our focus is more on Him than the challenges that we face each day. This causes our faith to be strong and positions ourselves to to receive from Him what His grace has provided through Christ.

Go Church: Love God, Love others.

1-19-2017 Dear Church Family;

Joe and Sheila Stone will be ministering with us again. We are so blessed to have them be with us. Please support this time of ministry and invite a friend. We are believing God for great things. See you as well on this Sunday morning. God Bless!

Some thought for the New Year: Personal Renewal

"Renewal comes when people become passionate about God's word, when they are burdened for those who are spiritual lost, when they manifests mutual love and care, when they wholeheartedly commit themselves to be obedient to Christ and his commands.

Renewal is not an event, but an inward process conducted by the Holy Spirit within the life of each individual involved in the ministry of the church. The task of leadership is to develop an environment where the heart may be transformed." Glenn Daman

1-12-2017 Dear Church Family;
